FAQs

When should I arrive in Portland?

Unless you are planning a trip around other parts of Oregon before the wedding, Wednesday 9/27 or Thursday 9/28 are just fine.

Where should I stay?

Visit the Travel page for details on discounted rates at hotels near the venue. Staying in NW Portland will simplify getting to and from the wedding, but there are great neighborhoods all over Portland if you don’t want to be near downtown. If you’re doing an AirB&B situation, check out neighborhoods like Southwest Hills, St. John’s, Alberta, Mississippi, and Hawthorne.

Where should I eat?

A list of all of our recommendations is coming soon to the Travel page.

Should I rent a car?

If you plan to stay in NW Portland for the entirety of your stay, there isn’t much need for a rental car. If you are planning to explore different neighborhoods, and/or take a trip to the coast or wine country post-wedding, feel free to rent one.

Parking kitty is the app used across the city for metered parking. Download and set your card up in advance to save yourself time.

For a full overview of hourly transportation rentals (cars, bikes, scooters, etc.) check out this article by the Bureau of Transportation.

Can I bring my children?

This is an adults-only wedding, no exceptions. If traveling with kiddos, check out NWNannies, LLC for information about in-hotel childcare.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Plus-ones are mainly reserved for couples, due to headcount; you would have recieved a slot for one in your formal email invitation if one had been granted.

What is the dress code?

Cocktail: a small step above semi-formal, though not as formal as black-tie optional or black-tie, cocktail attire is a popular dress code choice. It's a balance between elegant and comfortable. With that being said, if you want to go fancy all the way, do your thing…as long as you aren’t wearing white ;)

What time is the wedding?

The ceremony will begin at 6pm PST. Plan to arrive between 5:30pm and 5:50pm.

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Is the venue ADA-compliant?

Yes it is!

What do I do if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

We collected this information in your Rsvp form. if anything has changed reach out to nick or alexa.

Will there be alcohol at the wedding?

Yes - beer, wine, tequila, and whiskey. There will also be non-alcoholic beverages like sparkling water, soda, coffee, and tea.

Is there a wedding registry for gifts?

In lieu of a registry, we will be doing a honeyfund, which is essentially a wedding donation fund. you can find that here

Can I take pictures/video during the wedding?

NO PHONES DURING CEREMONY.

We have incredibly talented photographers capturing all of the important moments, and we do not want to look back on photos from the special day and see phones covering your lovely faces. Feel free to snap pics during the reception, but please be cognizant of keeping it out of our photographers’ shots.
